Our School Completed the 2-year Service Learning Programme Organized by HKBU 2018-05-28

Our school started joining the 2-year service learning programme “Promoting Positive Youth Development through School-University-Elderly Learning Community” organized by Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 2016. This programme is to enhance positive youth development of secondary school students through their active participation in a tri-party intergenerational learning community.

In the programme, students and professors from HKBU ran workshops for the participants, and provided guidance on service learning to them. After organizing alone the highly acclaimed events for the elderly from HKSKH Lok Man Alice Kwok Integrated Service Centre in To Kwa Wan last year, this year our school took a further step and cooperated with Homantin Government Secondary School to organize events for the elderly of the said Integrated Service Centre. The students from two schools learnt from each other and brought fun and warmth to the elderly.

The Programme ended with a grand ceremony in HKBU. We believe that our students have reaped incredibly much inspiring experience from this programme.
