We are thrilled to announce that our school’s coding team has achieved outstanding results in the “HKIIT Spatial Application Innovation Contest 2026”. Competing in the highly competitive Secondary Swift Programming Category, our students demonstrated exceptional creativity and technical prowess in the field of Spatial Computing and App Development.
Organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT), this year's competition theme, "Technology Solving Social Issues," challenged participants to create innovative app solutions using Apple’s Swift language and AR/VR technology.
Our students impressed the judges with their ability to combine coding skills with empathy for social problems. The award results are as follows:
The Silver Award-winning team was particularly praised for their visualisation of environmental impact through Spatial Gamification (AR) and the use of GPS to verify real-world "Green Travel" (walking vs. taking a car) and convert those actions into tangible rewards. All three teams demonstrated remarkable problem-solving skills, utilizing advanced frameworks like ARKit and RealityKit to bring their visions to life.
Congratulations to all the winners and the supervising teachers for their hard work and dedication. These achievements highlight our school’s commitment to STREAM education and nurturing the next generation of tech innovators.
