Celebrating Those Who Make a Difference: School’s “Parents-Also-Appreciate-Teachers” Day a Resounding Success!

The school hall was abuzz with energy and excitement as the Parent-Teacher Association hosted their annual "Parents-Also-Appreciate-Teachers" Day on 31 May 2024. This much-anticipated event was a joyous celebration of the incredible educators who dedicate themselves to the growth and success of our students.

The festivities kicked off with an electrifying introduction by our MCs, who set the tone with their infectious enthusiasm. They welcomed parents and students alike, inviting everyone to join in honouring the teachers who have made such a profound impact.

One of the highlights of the day was the prize presentation for the "Most Respected Teacher" election. The winners of the election are: Ms. Sung Hoi Yan (The Principal), Ms. Cheng Suet Mui (Chinese Language Teacher), Mr. Chan Yuk Sing (Mathematics Teacher), Mr. Cheung Wai Sing (Mathematics and EBM Teacher) and Mr. Yeung Ho Hei (ICT and Religious Education Teacher). As the winners were announced, the crowd erupted in thunderous applause, demonstrating the deep admiration and gratitude our community holds for these exceptional educators. The beaming teachers graciously accepted their awards, including a bonsai created jointly by parents and students in an earlier PTA workshop.

But the celebration didn’t stop there! Student leaders took the stage to share heartfelt messages of appreciation, reading aloud the heartwarming cards created by their peers. These touching tributes brought tears of joy to the teachers’ eyes, reminding them of the influence they have on their students.

The day culminated in the presentation of prizes for the Spring Excursion Photo Contest. The vibrant images captured the joy and wonder of our students, parents and teachers’ adventures in late February.

As the event drew to a close, the air was filled with a palpable sense of unity and appreciation. It was a day to remember, a time for our school community to come together and celebrate teachers who shape the lives of our children. The energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, leaving us all eager to continue supporting and uplifting our teachers in the years to come.
