History Workshop: Acquisition and Use of Archival Holdings in Public Records
2026-03-06

Acquisition and Use of Archival Holdings in Public Records is a workshop organized by the Hong Kong Public Records Office and the Hong Kong Museum of History. It engaged our S4 History students who have to prepare for the 15th Inter-school Competition on Project Learning in Hong Kong’s History and Culture. Students explored the Hong Kong Public Records database and learned how to navigate archives from government and university collections. Through hands-on sessions, they refined research questions, developed effective search strategies, and evaluated primary sources. By strengthening archival research methods, the workshop has equipped students with focused project proposals and the skills to produce rigorous, well-documented historical studies.
